Web archive and bookmark preservation

ArchiveBox

Self-hosted web archive that preserves bookmarked URLs in multiple durable formats.

Self-host your links: bold neon typography and colorful illustrations about organizing saved links, branded InstaBookmark.com.

Meet ArchiveBox

ArchiveBox captures webpages and related resources so that a research collection is not merely a set of live links. Its interfaces and import tools support individual URLs, exported bookmarks and recurring source lists, with outputs such as screenshots, PDFs and extracted text.

It is a preservation system rather than a lightweight bookmark dashboard. The additional storage and processing requirements are worthwhile for users who need retained copies, but they also create more operational responsibility than a conventional hosted read-later account.
